Raheen National School

• Raheen National School is a primary school based in Raheen, Co. Wexford.
  The school currently accommodates 146 pupils on roll as of October 7th 2024, 8 classroom teachers, and 3 SNA'S.
  We are a catholic ethos school.

• We were awarded our first green schools flag in 2016, and the second in 2018. We received our most recent one in 2022.

• The Board of Management of Raheen NS is made up of the school principal, two nominees from the school patron, a school staff nominee, two parent nominees, and two community nominees.
  It is important to note, these roles are of NOMINEES and not representatives. The board aims to ensure that all school's shareholders work together in the management of the school.

• The functions of the Board of Management set out in section 15 of the Education Act 1998: It shall be the duty of a board to manage the school on behalf of the patron and for the benefit of the students and their parents and to provide or cause to be provided an appropriate education for each student at the school for which that board has responsibility.
